About Avenrose

At Avenrose we believe every child deserves to shine, whatever the occasion. Whether it is a flower girl walking down the aisle or a young gentleman at his first big event, we help children look and feel their best in well-made occasion wear.

Our story

Avenrose grew out of a gap we kept running into ourselves. Party dresses, flower girl gowns and boys' suits tended to be either beautiful or practical, and rarely both. No parent should have to choose between an outfit that photographs well and a child who can actually move in it. Avenrose is built on the idea that both are possible.

What we offer

  • Party dresses and flower girl gowns. Tulle, satin and lace, fully lined, in the shades that suit most weddings — blush, ivory, champagne and soft blue. Sizes from 6 months through age 12, in tea length and full ball gown.
  • Boys' suits, vest sets and accessories. Four-piece vest sets and five-piece tuxedos in black, grey, white and burgundy, with elastic waists and cotton-blend shirts so a child can still run and dance. Sizes 12 months to 12 years.
  • The finishing touches. Pearl and velvet hairbands, lace flower headbands, crystal tiaras sized for babies and toddlers, and pre-tied adjustable bow ties.

A number of our dresses are made in the USA. Where that is true, the product page says so.

Sizing, honestly

Occasion wear is usually bought weeks or months before it is worn, for a child who is still growing. That is the commonest reason something comes back to us. So every product page carries its own chest, waist and length measurements rather than a vague size label, and we have written a size guide explaining how to measure and when to size up.

If you are between sizes for an event that is still months away, size up. A dress that is slightly loose can be taken in; one that is too small on the morning cannot be fixed. And if you are unsure, tell us the child's chest measurement and the date of the event, and we will tell you honestly which size to order.
